30 November In Berkeley, a Harris's Sparrow was seen at a private residence in the 2600 block of Parker St. John Poole
29 November In Oakland at Martin Luther King Jr Regional Shoreline, a single Ross' Goose was with 80 Canada Geese feeding on the grass near the Arrowhead Marsh parking lot. Tim Mouter
25 November In Berkeley at Berkeley Aquatic Park, there were two Hooded Mergansers at the south end of the main lagoon. Ken Archibald
19 November In Livermore at Robertson Park, a first-winter-plumaged Chestnut-sided Warbler was found at 9:50 AM on the paved trail 250 yards east of Arroyo Rd, just south of College Ave. The bird could not be relocated at noon, but a tan-morph White-throated Sparrow was found 500 yards east of Arroyo Rd. The bird was on the back trail or dirt trail by the blackberry patch, near the cattails and horseshoe pond. Art Edwards
17 November In Hayward at Don Castro Regional Recreation Area, an immature White-throated Sparrow was 50 feet below the main large sign along the sidewalk area by the entrance road. An Osprey was at the south side of the reservoir, and an Acorn Woodpecker was behind the park's residence - these two birds have been present for at least two months. Kevin Hintsa
17 November In Berkeley, a male Tufted Duck was in a mixed flock of Redheads, Ruddy Ducks, Red-breasted Mergansers, and Lesser Scaups in the bay about an eighth of a mile north of the Ashby Ave exit along the Hwy 80 frontage road. There is a pullout with a parking area. Bob Power
14 November In San Leandro, a female Long-tailed Duck was at the San Leandro Marina. The bird was quite a ways out on the bay, west of the peninsula where the marina office is located. Kathy Robertson

24 November In the Berkeley Hills near the Little Farm in Tilden Nature Area, the juvenile Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was seen again in the same area. Alan Kaplan
23 November In the Berkeley Hills near the Little Farm in Tilden Nature Area, a juvenile Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was seen. If you face the Little Farm, there is a path to the left that leads to the black sheep with curly horns. There is a storage area to the left of them for sod and hay. Further left, there are eucalyptus trees where the bird has been seen from the grassy area. Steve Hayashi
