ALAMEDA COUNTY

4 June  In north Berkeley, a Common Nighthawk was seen at the corner of McGee Ave & Buena Vista Ave, one block south of Rose St near the King Middle School.  Erica Bermen


CONTRA COSTA COUNTY

22 June  Near Orinda in Briones Regional Park, the Indigo Bunting continues by the corral at the intersection of Old Briones Road & Valley Trail. It was seen between 11 AM and noon.  Dave Weber

10 June  In Antioch, a Northern Parula and Canyon Wren were at Cole Canyon in Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve. Take Somerville Rd from Pittsburg to the park and continue to the last parking lot. Walk 1.5 miles west on the Nortonville Trail. Then take Cole Canyon Trail a quarter-mile until the dirt trail reaches the steep sandstone cliffs. The parula was singing from12:30 to 1 PM from the oak.  Emilie Strauss

5 June  In El Sobrante, a Summer Tanager was at Kennedy Grove Regional Recreation Area (San Pablo Dam Rd just north of San Pablo Reservoir), south of the parking lot in the trees between the parking lot and the creek.  Bingham Gibbs
