30 December In Oakland a male Eurasian Wigeon was at Arrowhead Marsh in Martin Luther King Jr Regional Shoreline. It was in the first pond along the road on the way in. Keith Slauson
21 December East of Livermore on Patterson Pass Rd at milepost 5.7, there were 10 Mountain Bluebirds. On Midway Rd (further out, going north of Patterson Pass Rd toward Hwy 580), a Prairie Falcon was seen. Art Edwards
21 December In Oakland at Lake Merritt, 2 male Barrow's Goldeneyes were in the northeast arm of the lake at the outermost island, and 3 males and a female were in the creek channel in Peralta Park, south of the lake behind the Kaiser Convention Center. Ken Archimbaud
12 December In Berkeley at Berkeley Aquatic Park, the Black-throated Gray Warbler continued 50 feet northwest of basket #16 on the frisbee golf course. Ken Archimbaud
11 December In Oakland at the north end of Edgewater Dr (west of the Coliseum and Hwy 880), a male Blue-winged Teal was with Cinnamon Teal, viewable from the bridge crossing the creek. (This is the Garretson Point area in Martin Luther King Jr Regional Shoreline.) Ken Archimbaud

6 December In Berkeley at Berkeley Aquatic Park, a Black-throated Gray Warbler was near the frisbee gold basket #16 on the east side. Also in the park were 3 Barrow's Goldeneyes and 23 Red-breasted Mergansers. Ken Archimbaud
6 December In Alameda, there were 8 species of shorebirds including Red Knots at Crown State Beach. In Oakland at Arrowhead Marsh (Martin Luther King Jr Regional Shoreline), there was a Ross' Goose in the shallow pond in the dirt area near the entrance. Steven S.

21 December An immature Brown Pelican was at the junction of Lindemann Rd & Herdlyn Rd (just north of the Tracy-Byron Hwy near the meeting of Contra Costa, Alameda, and San Joaquin Counties). Also at that location in the slough, a male Barrow's Goldeneye continued along with 2 females. Art Edwards
