21 December In Richmond, 2 Cattle Egrets were off the Bay Trail between S 51st St [near Bayview exit from Hwy 580] and Shimada Friendship Park. Initially, they were nearer to 51st St, but later they were seen behind the University of California Richmond Field Station. 11 December In Richmond at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline, an extremely late Canada Warbler, likely an immature male, was found 75 meters east of the entrance kiosk. Park in the muddy lot off Giant Hwy, between the shoreline entrance road and the entrance to the detention center to the north. Follow a small footpath west toward the gate. The bird was feeding low in the eucalyptus, and also joined a small mixed flock. It called frequently. Dan Nelson
