19 October In the Oakland Hills, a Red-naped Sapsucker was at Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve, in mature pines on the trail halfway down to the creek at Huckleberry Preserve. A rock was placed on a eucalyptus log by the site where the sapsucker was seen. Ken Archibaud4 October In Richmond, a Chestnut-sided Warbler was at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline. From the parking lot, go across the bridge and toward the picnic area. At a right turn with three outhouses, turn right and follow the broken-asphalt road to a T-intersection. Turn right, then right again (this last turn where the field has been burned). This road deadends at a bridge, and the warbler was in a group of ornamental trees near here. Steve Glover
